The Realty Alliance MarTech Leadership Conference Recap
[Highlights] Marketing and Technology Leaders Conference
At The Realty Alliance Marketing and Technology Leaders Conference, there was much excitement around a wealth of opportunities, especially the New Agent Welcome Box which Carolina One provides to new hires at $100 per box. ProductHunt.com and the Real Estate Almanac, too, generated a lot of enthusiasm and anticipation as a potentially valuable asset for each brokerage.
The major topics addressed during the gathering were divided into multiple categories and listed on sticky notes. The top three included: (1) Agent Adoption with tools and marketing, (2) Agent engagement at the office level, and (3) Recruitment.
For Agent Adoption, the conference participants put forward several recommendations including initiating CMA contests, the President of the company writing a monthly newsletter, sending printed newsletters via mail, and improving the aesthetics of the office space to enhance utilization.
Additionally, it was suggested to start closed Facebook groups, open Konverse threads for discussions, survey agents about how much time they spend on each tool, use dynamic trigger automation to replace those tools that are too time-consuming, set up a 'pets of your brokerage' page on the intranet and website, make a community calendar through Setmore or Service Form, host small-scale events (with no more than 50 attendees) and have an assigned agent manage the content and questions.
As far as Recruitment went, the Realty Alliance proposed secret shopping managers by monitoring a sales meeting, utilizing the Gong tool to eavesdrop on meetings, creating benchmark best practices and gradations, creating a succession planning program to attract seasoned agents, sending gifts via Box Brownie, joining a referral program such as Reach150, and using HomeMeta to display a powerful value proposition during your next big recruiting meeting.
The book The Power of Moments by Chip Heath and Dan Heath was highly recommended for further study. Steven McCloskey further suggested The 5-Second Rule and Clockwork to invigorate agents feeling stuck in a rut. The Alliance suggested the creation of a book club for agents with similar volume and issues for greater benefit.
All in all, The Realty Alliance Meeting was deemed a success due to the plethora of helpful tools and solutions that could strengthen the broker/agent/home-shopper relationship. With the right strategies, the participants have high hopes for increased production and better margins.
